How it's calculated
v = Q ÷ A
Extend uses full bore area; retract uses annulus area
The retract stroke is faster because the annulus area is smaller. Watch the return flow on retract: oil leaving the full-bore side can be well above pump flow, which matters for sizing return lines, valves and filters.
