Vibration amplitude converter (acceleration, velocity, displacement)

Convert between g, mm/s and µm at a given frequency.

Hz
1× running speed = rpm ÷ 60

Calculating…

How it's calculated

v = a ÷ (2πf) d = v ÷ (2πf) RMS = peak × 0.707 (pure sine)

The same vibration looks very different depending on the unit. Displacement highlights low-frequency problems, velocity covers the mid range most used for machine condition (ISO 10816/20816 use mm/s RMS), and acceleration shows high-frequency bearing and gear faults.

These conversions are exact for a single frequency (a pure sine). For a broadband overall reading they are only approximate.
