Mass = cross-section area × length × density Steel 7850, stainless 8000, aluminium 2700 kg/m³

Useful for estimating lift weights, material costs and shipping. Real stock varies slightly with tolerances and corner radii, and stainless grades range from about 7900 to 8000 kg/m³.
