L10 = (C ÷ P)^p million revolutions p = 3 (ball), 10/3 (roller) L10h = L10 × 10⁶ ÷ (60 × n)

L10 is the life that 90% of a large group of identical bearings will reach or exceed. It assumes good lubrication and cleanliness; real life is often shorter because of contamination, misalignment or poor lubrication.

Halving the load raises life about 8 times for a ball bearing. Find C in the manufacturer's catalogue for the exact bearing number.
